I saw the premiere of this show on the Escapist a while ago. I have to say, the first episode was kinda iffy, but the second episode hooked me. Loved all the bleeps. But yeah, I didn't know you animated it. I thought it was made by the mods on the Escapist. Well, whatever. Good job on the show.
Yeah, we got a lot of flak for the first episode but we were expecting it. We made a decision to not do an "opener" and explain what happened to the world. instead we just jumped in headfirst so we could slowly reveal the history over the course of the series rather than all at once.
I think once people know who these characters are a bit more and see where the story goes, they can look back on these early episodes and see the foundation we're laying for the entire series.
I can't reveal anything but trust me when i say all these early episodes will serve a purpose to the story-line of the show. :)
The series is slowly gathering a following on The Escapist... :D
This episode wasn't as strong as the others, but was still fun to watch. Keep it up!
